Morningstar DBRS (MDBRS) is seeking an experienced professional to join its Global Investor Strategy team. The role focuses on expanding relationships with key institutional investor clients, including asset managers, insurers, and investment funds, to promote MDBRS’s ratings, research, products, and services.
Responsibilities
- Implement coverage strategy for Investor Development in Europe.
- Lead coverage activities with key European institutional investors (credit analysts, portfolio managers, heads of research) and act as senior relationship touch point across the investor client base in the region.
- Proactively identify and develop new strategic relationships with institutional investors.
- Establish best practices and collaborate with Marketing, Business Development, and Analytical teams to build brand visibility, enhance investor engagement, and promote usage of MDBRS services.
- Develop, lead, and execute new strategic investor-focused initiatives, including meetings, conferences, webinars, and bespoke events.
- Track and maintain engagement data through CRM for internal reporting and analysis.
- Solicit and analyze investor feedback to provide timely insights into topical credit market views across ratings and products.
- Facilitate demand for MDBRS ratings and usage in investment decisions, in conjunction with the Business Development team, for demand of MDBRS research and related products.
Requirements
- Minimum 10+ years of business development experience in debt capital markets or fixed‑income sales, focusing on credit.
- Strong existing relationships with relevant fixed‑income investors across public and private credit markets, project finance, structured finance, and corporate credit.
- Proven track record of managing large, complex investor accounts.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to engage senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Willingness and availability to travel as required.
- Experience with Salesforce.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
Compensation
Base Salary Compensation Range: GBP 84,700.00 – 113,566.66
Bonus Target: 30% Annual. Compensation will depend on qualifications and experience.
Work Environment
Morningstar’s hybrid work model encourages collaboration in person most weeks. The role is based in the London office.
