We are looking to recruit Support Workers (Days) to be based within Morning Star House hostel in Belfast. To be part of the support team within Morning Star House assisting with the provisions of temporary accommodation and 24-hour support services for individuals experiencing homelessness.
Responsibilities
- Keyworking support with clients.
- Risk assessing and support planning.
Skills and Qualifications
- Qualified to at least Grade A-C GCSE / O-Level in English & Maths or Equivalent.
- Current NISCC registration (Part 2) or if new to the sector must achieve registration by end of probationary period.
- Ability to competently use ICT systems for communication and record keeping.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively, establish and maintain positive working relationships with clients, colleagues as well as internal and external stakeholders.
- Read and understand written reports and write clear and accurate reports / records.
- Demonstratable experience of issues affecting those who are homeless with multi-complex needs.
- Experience working with similar service user group with service users who present with complex needs and challenging behaviour.
