The Key Account Executive is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with the company’s most important clients. This role involves managing a portfolio of key accounts, identifying new business opportunities, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving revenue growth. The Key Account Executive works cross-functionally to provide tailored solutions, resolve client issues, and deliver exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Management: Build, maintain, and strengthen long-term relationships with key clients by understanding their business needs and aligning them with company offerings.
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within assigned accounts to achieve sales targets and expand account revenue.
  • Account Planning: Develop and execute strategic account plans, including forecasting, budgeting, and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Customer Service & Retention: Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring timely and successful delivery of solutions according to client needs and objectives.
  • Problem Solving: Address client issues or concerns promptly and effectively, working closely with internal teams (e.g., marketing, product, support) to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Track account performance, prepare regular reports on key metrics (sales, client feedback, etc.), and present updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to coordinate campaigns, product updates, or initiatives that impact key accounts.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and client developments to provide relevant insights and solutions.

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to analyze data and market trends.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Customer-focused with a results-driven mindset.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in the education furniture sector.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Familiarity with sales forecasting and performance metrics.

Working Conditions

  • Office-based with occasional travel to client sites or events.
