We are seeking to appoint a caring teaching assistant to join our committed, professional and friendly team. The current vacancy is within the EYFS/Key Stage 1 team supporting the learning, social, communication and emotional needs of pupils. The role will include supporting children 1:1 and in small groups and will contribute to raising standards of achievement for all pupils. The role would be suitable for candidates with experience. The role is working 8.45-3.15pm term time only.
Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will be expected to support children 1:1 and in small groups.
- Contribute to raising standards of achievement.
- Support the learning, social, communication and emotional needs of pupils within the EYFS/Key Stage 1 team.
Qualifications and experience
We would be particularly interested in hearing from applicants who:
- Have experience in or a desire to work in a Primary School Setting and/or have speciality Early Years experience.
- Have experience of successfully supporting children with SEN, communication and interaction needs (including ASD).
- Have experience of successfully supporting children with medical, social, emotional and mental health needs.
- Have experience of successfully supporting children for whom English is an additional language.
We would expect all Level Two teaching assistants to:
- Have a good rapport with children and are able to engage them in learning.
- Have high expectations for pupils’ work and behaviour.
- Promote the aims and values of the school.
- Work flexibly as part of a team with drive and passion to ensure that all children achieve.
- Be willing and able to share good practice and learn from others.
The successful candidate will be expected to meet all aspects of the job description.
