Morley College London is seeking a Jazz Tutor to lead our Swing Band and Jazz Repertoire Ensemble, a key component of our rich musical curriculum. About the Jazz repertoire ensemble: The Jazz Repertoire Ensemble at Morley is the perfect entry point for individuals with some prior experience in playing music eager to deepen their understanding of the jazz language. This ensemble provides a supportive environment where musicians can refine their skills, explore the nuances of jazz, and develop a rich repertoire.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and instruct the Swing Band and Jazz Repertoire Ensemble on Thursday nights.
  • Select or/and write arrangements to meet student needs and learning goals
  • Mentor and guide students, fostering their individual growth and musical skills.
  • Collaborate with fellow tutors and staff to contribute to the vibrant musical culture at Morley.
  • Participate to College events and concerts
