We are looking to appoint a well-qualified and highly motivated Biology/Chemistry specialist to join our successful science team. The role will involve delivering and assessing a range of units to students studying at a range of levels, currently including the Access to Science HE Diploma. The post will be based at the Waterloo Centre, but potentially hours could be offered at other centres.
You will also be required to ensure health and safety requirements are met specific to the use of specialist equipment and chemicals, including ordering and stock checking of required materials for the science provision. The role also includes general maintenance of the science lab and preparation room, including preparing/clearing away equipment and chemicals for practical work.
We are looking for a creative and innovative lecturer who is passionate about supporting and challenging students to realise their full potential. You will be an engaging and experienced practitioner of teaching, learning and assessment with an appropriate degree level qualification and QTLS or equivalent. You will have experience of working with all ages in a college setting and ideally on pre-Access and Access to HE Diploma programmes.
