Morlais Build is a construction company looking for the right individual to add to our small team. Our working area is mainly on the Gower Peninsula, but we do work further afield also. No egos, everyone is treated equally. We take on lots of interesting projects, and the work is always varied.
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Tradesperson to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various construction and maintenance trades, with the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. This role offers an opportunity to utilise a diverse skill set in a dynamic environment, contributing to high-quality projects across multiple disciplines.
Duties
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to complete construction, repair, and maintenance tasks
- Perform bricklaying and masonry work with precision and attention to detail
- Plaster-boarding & Insulation (Experience in Plastering would be beneficial)
- Execute roofing installations, repairs, and inspections according to safety standards
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored after use
Requirements
- Proven experience in masonry, carpentry, roofing, welding or related trades
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment relevant to the trade
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately
- Strong understanding of health and safety practices within construction environments
- Excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction trades are desirable but not essential
- A valid UK driving licence is mandatory
