We are looking for an experienced conveyancing solicitor to join our expanding property department at Morison and Smith Solicitors within our Biggar office. You will have a minimum of 5 years PQE and have experience of dealing with new build transactions, first home and have a general conveyancing background.
You will be responsible for all aspects of the conveyancing transaction including, but not limited to:
- Dealing with purchase and sales
- Drafting missives
- Noting title
- Obtaining reports and searches
- Reporting to and dealing with clients
- Drafting dispositions and security documentation
- Drafting Land Registration forms
- Submitting LBTT forms
- All aspects of settlement and post settlement issues
You will be required to handle a volume of work and provide excellent consistent client service as well as being organised and able to handle your own caseload. This position is office based. Salary dependent on experience.
