The Account Director will sit within our Global Family team. This presents the opportunity to work with some of the biggest brands in the world, leading on some of the most successful Gen A targeted promotions across the globe. The role presents the opportunity to lead global programs that include the work of (and collaboration with) expert teams who specialise in toy design and production, retail campaign ideation and creation, digital retail, gamification, packaging and so much more!
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ORGANIZATION
As an Account Director for McDonald’s Happy Meal you will be integral to delivering best in class marketing and family-centric campaigns. You will be responsible for leading and overseeing the development of key events in the marketing calendar and you will be comfortable leading this from the front. You will be expected to share a considered, thoughtful point of view on all of the work that we create, working with our clients and partners to help uncover business issues and develop a compelling strategy to deliver market-leading campaigns with an insight-led approach. Developing strong relationships with clients, partners and colleagues alike will be at the heart of what you do. You’ll strive to get the very best out of all of our different teams delivering their varied disciplines through building strong connections and an excellent reputation.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE, WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE
- Experienced managing multiple projects at one time, with numerous stakeholders
- Confident, articulate presenter able to lead and steer meetings with varied groups of people
- A true problem-solving attitude that is demonstrated consistently in the leading of programs
- Responsible for the ongoing account management, including oversight of managing client expectations, objectives, and timelines as well as run rates and overall client satisfaction
- Ensures overall quality of work on the account, working directly with AM/PM teams to ensure all work is delivered against clients’ objectives to the highest quality on time and on budget
- Exude passion and genuine interest in working on children’s brands, keen to develop strong expertise in Gen A and Gen B
- Experienced team lead, able to successfully coach and develop a team of account handlers
- Accountable for the profitability and healthy growth of the account, putting in place appropriate processes that identify areas for refinement
- Adaptable and able to quickly learn complex processes
- Coach, involve, and inspire the growth and development of junior agency employees
- Understand the essential dynamics, strategies and drivers of their client’s business and apply this to our responses to brief
- Always demonstrate accountability for agency performance and flawless execution
- Champion professionalism and rigour across the agency, ensuring that the team delivers consistently and with excellence
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction are maintained and any challenges are approached promptly and successfully
- Negotiate to create win-win compromises with your client on behalf of your team members where needed and train others in the team to do so in the future
- Have meaningful reviews with the client of work presenting, demonstrating to the wider team the ability to get to the bottom of any feedback points that need to be actioned and understand the WHY to be able to advise on the best course of action
