This position offers the candidate a unique opportunity to engage in MRM related governance, reporting and validation activities for Tools, with close interactions across numerous stakeholders within Business and Control functions, reporting directly to the Global Head of Tool Oversight (located in London).
Firm Risk Management (FRM) supports Morgan Stanley to achieve its business goals by partnering with business units across the Firm to realize efficient risk-adjusted returns, acting as a strategic advisor to the Board and protecting the Firm from exposure to losses as a result of credit, market, liquidity, operational, model and other risks.

What will you be doing?
- Assist the MRM Global Head of Tool Oversight in the review & challenge of inventory and risk rank consistency as well as the execution of validation work for Tools
- Collaborate with Global MRM teams & Model Control Officers to ensure consistent interpretation of relevant Policies & Procedures
- Pro-actively identify key model risk management framework enhancements related to Tools
- Partner with a wide range of stakeholders across the Firm on governance and framework initiatives related to Tools
- Support the preparation of materials for specific legal entities and committees.
What We’re Looking For
- Master\’s or Ph.D. degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or other business or risk management related areas
- Experience from financial institution or consulting firm in model validation (or other analytical function) or model governance
- Experience with/understanding of core model risk management regulations (specifically FRB SR 11-7 and PRA SS1/23) and related governance requirements
- The ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, both written and verbally
