Role Description
NHSPC is seeking an Associate-level investment professional to be actively involved in the fundamental analysis of European senior secured financing opportunities backed by real estate and thus support us creating value for our current and prospective investor base. The NHSPC team is seeking a highly motivated Associate-level investment professional to join our European real estate credit platform. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the team’s investment activities, from initial deal screening to transaction execution, portfolio management and investor marketing.
Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Conduct comprehensive industry and macroeconomic research to identify investment trends and opportunities in the European real estate credit markets.
- Participate in the initial transaction screening process, utilizing financial models and detailed analysis to evaluate potential investments.
- Assist in the due diligence process, including the preparation of cash flow models, collateral evaluation, sponsor business model review, and on-site visits.
- Prepare detailed credit investment recommendations for presentation to the investment committee.
- Participate in the negotiation of transaction documents.
- Monitor and report on market developments and the performance of existing investments on a quarterly basis.
- Support investor relations by preparing marketing materials, conference presentations, and meeting books.
Qualifications
- Strong academic background.
- Experience within a real estate lending team, including assisting with the analysis, structuring and execution of real estate lending transactions, preferably across multiple real estate asset classes and European jurisdictions.
- Outstanding analytical and modelling skills – proficiency in MS Excel / Office 365.
- Ability to effectively prioritise and handle multiple tasks / projects.
- Self-motivated; goal-oriented; team-player.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of real estate finance, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail, a high level of accuracy and accountability.
