A highly regarded, boutique law firm in central London is seeking a Temporary Legal Cashier to support its finance team during a busy period. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal finance professional to join a top-tier practice on a temporary basis.

Experience with Partner for Windows (P4W) is strongly preferred and will be a key advantage in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing client and office account transactions
  • Managing incoming/outgoing payments and credit card receipts
  • Posting bills, credit notes, and logging disbursements
  • Handling international payments and supplier invoices
  • Managing matter closures and retained client funds
  • Opening supplier accounts and maintaining accurate ledgers
  • Performing client interest calculations and updating statements
  • Supporting month-end and year-end procedures
  • Producing time reports and liaising with suppliers for account statements
  • Ensuring compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules

Candidate Profile:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a legal cashiering role within a law firm
  • Strong understanding of Solicitors Accounts Rules
  • Proficient in Excel and general IT systems
  • Prior experience with legal accounting software P4W (Partner for Windows)
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage workload independently
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, positive attitude
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Education Requirements:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) A–C, including Maths and English
