Are you a motivated and compassionate individual with a passion for supporting vulnerable clients? We’re looking for a dedicated Paralegal to join a highly regarded Court of Protection team, where you’ll play a key role in delivering life-changing legal support to individuals who lack capacity to manage their own affairs.
As a Paralegal in the Court of Protection team, you’ll work closely with experienced solicitors and partners to provide both legal and administrative support. This is a client-facing role that offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Key Responsibilities- Assist in delivering legal and administrative services to clients under supervision
- Attend client meetings and take detailed notes
- Visit clients in hospitals, care homes, and their own homes
- Manage client payments, maintain accurate financial records, and assist with budgeting
- Communicate regularly with clients and understand their individual lifestyle needs
- Draft clear and accessible legal documents, including letters, witness statements, and court applications
- Handle confidential correspondence with professionalism and discretion
- Support multiple solicitors and partners within the team
- Maintain high standards of client care and service delivery
- Continue developing your legal knowledge and skills
- Law degree (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a Court of Protection role
- LPC completed or currently studying towards it
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Confident with Microsoft Word and Excel
- A proactive, flexible, and client-focused approach
- Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail
- A team player with a positive, can-do attitude
