A well-established charity is seeking a Facilities & Estates Coordinator to support the smooth running of its busy campus and estates function. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for a hands-on facilities professional who enjoys a varied role combining operational, administrative and team coordination responsibilities.
Working Hours
- 11:00am – 7:00pm (flexibility required for events)
- Occasional Saturdays (approximately twice every four months, on a rota)
- Day off in lieu (Monday or Friday when weekend work occurs)
The Role
Reporting to the Facilities Estates Manager, you will help coordinate the estates function, ensuring the campus buildings, systems and grounds are maintained to a high standard. You will also support the management of the estates team and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate maintenance requests and allocate work to the estates team and contractors
- Oversee caretakers, cleaners and maintenance staff
- Ensure building services (heating, lighting, water) operate efficiently
- Support planned maintenance programmes and building inspections
- Manage repair logs and ensure timely completion of works
- Monitor CCTV, access control and fire alarm systems
- Liaise with contractors, landlords and external suppliers
- Assist with health & safety compliance and campus safety checks
- Support estates administration, budgets and facilities operations
About You
- Experience in facilities, estates or building management
- Practical knowledge of building maintenance, repairs or site operations
- Ability to manage contractors and coordinate maintenance tasks
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Flexible, proactive and a strong team player
