Overview
Our client is a well-established and highly reputable law firm based in Birmingham. They are seeking a Credit Controller to join their Finance team on an initial six-month fixed-term contract. Due to a particularly busy period with the firm's financial year-end approaching in April, additional resource is required to support the existing team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a large, stable, and supportive team, known for exceptionally high staff retention and a positive, collaborative working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing UK credit control activities, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts.
- Supporting a small portfolio of international accounts.
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Assisting with increased workload during the year-end period.
- Utilising Aderant software for credit control processes.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in credit control, ideally within a professional services environment.
- Legal sector experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a busy, deadline-driven environment.
- A proactive and organised approach, with excellent attention to detail.
- Willingness to work full-time on-site in Birmingham City Centre.
