An immediate opportunity for an experienced HR Partner with Higher Education experience, to provide additional support during a period of significant organisational change. This role is suited to someone who can quickly integrate into a complex environment and confidently partner with senior stakeholders on both strategic initiatives and BAU HR activity.
Reporting to the Head of HR Partnering & Policy, you will support a range of HR partnering activities, with a strong focus on organisational change and employee relations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting leadership on redundancy programmes and large-scale organisational change
- Managing complex employee relations casework (grievance, performance, absence, disciplinary)
- Advising senior managers on HR strategy and people-related issues
- Contributing to strategic projects and HR policy development
- Coaching managers to build capability in people management
- Supporting workforce planning and restructuring activity
- Delivering day-to-day HR partnering support across business areas
About You
Essential:
- CIPD qualified (or equivalent experience)
- Previous experience within Higher Education
- Strong HR generalist experience within a complex organisation
- Proven experience supporting redundancy programmes and change initiatives
- Extensive employee relations casework experience
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law
- Experience working with senior stakeholders
- Strong communication, influencing, and coaching skills
Desirable:
- Ability to hit the ground running in a short-term engagement
- Experience contributing to policy development and strategic HR projects
