Are you an experienced recruiter who thrives on developing others? We’re hiring a Sales Trainer to take a leading role in driving commercial excellence within a high‑growth search firm. This position is all about elevating consultant performance on the sales floor, building skill, confidence, and capability across the team. This is an immersive, on‑desk training position where you’ll work directly with consultants at every level, from graduates taking their first calls to seasoned hires refining their edge. Your day‑to‑day will involve live call shadowing, real‑time coaching, and embedding habits that fuel long‑term success. Alongside this, you’ll contribute to structured training programmes covering everything from market understanding and client development to sourcing, pitching, and deal execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver hands‑on sales training through live call shadowing, real‑time feedback, one‑to‑one coaching, and desk‑side refreshers on sourcing, outreach, client engagement, pitching, and closing.
  • Act as a trusted coach and role model, reinforcing high‑performance behaviours and supporting consultants across all levels.
  • Partner with management to identify skills gaps and build targeted training interventions that directly enhance performance.
  • Monitor consultant development against training goals and probation milestones, providing structured feedback to leadership.
  • Strengthen leadership capability by equipping managers with coaching tools and embedding a consistent performance framework.
  • Gather feedback and performance data to continually refine training content and maximise commercial impact.
  • Research and introduce new methods, tools, and techniques to maintain an innovative and commercially relevant training offering.
  • Support the firm’s graduate training academy, ensuring new joiners acquire strong habits quickly and confidently.
  • Build effective relationships across the business to coordinate training activity aligned with commercial priorities.
  • Act as a cultural champion promoting learning, growth, accountability, and high standards.

  • Background in agency recruitment or executive search within a fast‑paced, high‑performance environment.
