An exciting opportunity has arisen for a friendly and proactive Receptionist / Centre Coordinator to join a busy business centre in Basingstoke on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys providing exceptional customer service, building relationships and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of a professional workspace.
The Role
Acting as the face of the business centre, you will provide a high-quality front-of-house service while supporting customers, visitors and the wider operations team. This is a varied role combining reception, customer service, administration and centre coordination responsibilities. Key responsibilities include:
- Welcoming visitors and providing a professional front-of-house experience
- Managing incoming calls, emails, deliveries and post
- Supporting customer onboarding and ensuring a smooth move-in process
- Acting as the first point of contact for customer queries and resolving issues efficiently
- Building strong relationships with customers and enhancing the overall customer experience
- Coordinating meeting room bookings and maintaining communal areas
- Supporting customer engagement activities and networking events
- Assisting with office viewings and general sales support
- Maintaining customer records, availability reports and centre administration
- Monitoring cleaning, maintenance and presentation standards across the centre
- Supporting the Business Centre Manager with day-to-day operational requirements
About You
Essential:
- Previous reception, front-of-house, hospitality or customer service experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer-focused approach with a positive attitude
- Professional presentation and confident telephone manner
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365
- Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a busy environment
