We are looking to recruit a Social Value Officer to join our Social Value Team based at our Goldney Road office, covering central London with occasional travel outside this area.
About the Role
Within this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining a network of external stakeholders and community partners, to include training providers, residents and public sector contacts, whilst ensuring social value commitments are delivered, as outlined, meeting required deadlines and quality. Completing case studies, social media and production of newsletters, you’ll have responsibility for our apprentice training programme, being the lead point of contact for schools, colleges and other provisions for coordinating work experience placements, careers evenings, mock interviews, site visits and mentoring.
About You
With previous experience within Social Value / Community Engagement, designing, delivering and reporting on community activities, with proven previous experience of giving employability support, delivering digital inclusion training within the community and actively partnering with local schools and colleges to deliver a range of sessions including careers, STEM and other workshops. A working knowledge of apprenticeships and safeguarding, you’ll be innovative in your delivery with the ability to personalise your approach to target specific issues in the communities where we work.
Essential criteria:
- Must be able to evidence working in Social Value or have transferable skills
- Working knowledge of social value reporting methodologies, including HACT and Social Value Portal as a minimum
- Proven excellent stakeholder engagement understanding
- Must be flexible, may on occasion need to work outside of the Westminster area
- Ability to interpret data
- Ability to write concise reports, case studies and social media posts
- Proficient in all IT - skills assessment required at Interview
- Able to work autonomously
- Experience of delivering training programmes, Digital Inclusion, school engagements and community events.
This is not a work from home role, we believe that Social Value cannot be delivered effectively if you are not working within the community.
