Permanent Full Time (40 hours per week). We are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor, who will be based from our existing partnership project office in Tottenham, North London. The role will initially cover works within the London area but our contract operates across the Home Counties and through London and south down towards Crawley.
About the Role
As our Quantity Surveyor, you will manage the day-to-day commercial control, reporting and management of multiple projects from award up to final account. Within the role, you'll conduct site visits and carry out surveying duties; keeping your line manager appraised of the progress of all accounts, both client and sub-contract, through to finalisation. You'll have effective commercial control of all allocated projects, including the provision of timely and accurate documentation in accordance with the reporting timetable, in particular CVRs, forecasts, continuous improvement documents, cash flow forecast and the commercial register. In conjunction with the Procurement Team, you will ensure that the procurement of sub-trades and suppliers is undertaken in a timely and cost-effective manner, and manage the timely production of the main/sub-contract final accounts, including re-measurement as necessary to ensure the best result, evaluation and agreement of all variations, extensions of time, loss and expense claims.
About You
We're looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor who is degree qualified or has experience of working in a partnering and target cost type model in planned maintenance for social housing providers and/or local authorities. Ideally you will have experience of working on large estate refurbishment projects and experience of the Building Safety Act relative to blocks and HRB's would also be preferable. Holding a level 4 qualification in Construction or Management (or equivalent or demonstrate extensive experience in a similar/related role), you will also hold a White CSCS Card or be working towards this. Due to the nature of the role, you must hold a valid UK driving licence.
