Permanent, Full Time. Looking for a stable, permanent role with a leading construction company? We're recruiting an experienced Carpenter / Joiner to join our Yorkshire team, carrying out repairs, maintenance and void works across social housing properties throughout Yorkshire and the East Coast.

About the Role

Working to deliver the highest quality service, you'll carry out responsive and planned repairs to both occupied and void properties. Duties will include a variety of trade repairs and maintenance work such as minor plumbing, joinery, tiling, kitchen and bathroom fitting within a social housing setting. You'll receive and complete assigned tasks using a handheld device (full training provided), working efficiently and safely in line with best practice to deliver an excellent customer experience. The role covers a patch across Yorkshire and the East Coast, with travel undertaken as required to meet business needs. A company van and fuel card are provided. Standard working hours are based around being on site from 8:00am to 4:30pm. Travel time beyond a reasonable commute is paid as overtime, less 30 minutes each way. Please note that participation in an out-of-hours call-out rota is required. There is no regular weekend working associated with this role.

About You

We're looking for a skilled and experienced Carpenter / Joiner who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service. You'll be confident working independently, following drawings and instructions, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. You'll have previous experience carrying out a range of joinery and carpentry works within a construction, repairs or maintenance environment. As a reliable and professional tradesperson, you'll be committed to delivering a right-first-time service and maintaining high standards of quality, safety and customer satisfaction.

Essential Requirements

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Previous experience as a qualified Joiner
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Joinery and Carpentry
  • CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Reliable, punctual and committed to delivering quality workmanship
  • Willingness to participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota
