We are looking to recruit an experienced Site Manager to join our dynamic, successful, and growing team in St Albans.
About the Role
As a Site Manager, you’ll lead delivery teams, assess resource requirements, and support the management of day‑to‑day activities. You’ll ensure all team objectives are met within time, cost, and budget constraints. A key part of this role is to support the effective delivery of fire safety and building compliance across our portfolio, ensuring fire safety risks are identified, managed, and mitigated while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for conducting and reviewing Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs), ensuring all identified actions are addressed within agreed timescales. You will oversee renovation and building works, ensuring adherence to Building Regulations (Part B) and all relevant fire safety requirements, while implementing robust site safety controls, including RAMS and permit‑to‑work systems in line with CDM 2015. Quality control is a core aspect of the role, with responsibilities including snagging, inspections, and final walk‑throughs to ensure a high standard of workmanship, particularly within passive fire protection works.
About You
Candidates will have proven experience in a similar role with strong experience in fire risk assessments, fire stopping, or passive fire protection installation. You’ll also have good knowledge of building construction, renovations, and extensions, along with proficiency in identifying hazards and providing technical solutions.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 6 Construction or Management (or equivalent, or demonstrate extensive experience in a similar/related role)
- Black CSCS Card – or working towards
- Retrofit/SHDF experience
- First Aid at Work
- SMSTS
- Valid full or automatic UK driving licence held for a minimum of 12 months (a company vehicle will be provided)
