We are looking to recruit a Commercial Manager to join our Planned Works business operating across London, Home Counties and the South.
About the Role
Joining us as Commercial Manager, you will lead, manage, and support all pre and post contract commercial activities within a region or defined contracts. You will ensure the integrity of the region’s trading results, accuracy of forecasts, timely and effective compilation of company reports, providing the Regional Managing Director and Board with the best possible intelligence. You will ensure clear budgets are set for projects and that robust forecasts and improvement plans are in place to evidence how they will be achieved. Ensuring all contractual relationships are managed effectively, you will participate in tender appraisals, bid strategies and adjudication, working in accordance with the Commercial Standing Instructions (CSI), and ensure the post contract administration of projects is entirely in accordance with the CSI.
About You – we anticipate you will be able to demonstrate:
- Significant post qualification experience within the social housing sector for commercially managing planned, decarbonisation and fire safety works.
- Excellent commercial skills to maximise value recovery.
- Robust cost control and cash management within projects.
- Knowledge and understanding of budgets and forecast management as well as final accounts.
- The ability to review, challenge and authorise CVR’s and supplementary financial reports.
- Experience of managing direct reports and forming and developing relationships with clients.
- Significant knowledge planned maintenance, decarbonisation and fire safety works for social housing providers and local authorities.
