An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major National Grid project at Ince Substation, Warrington. This is a brand-new scheme being delivered under an ECI model as part of a leading EPC framework, with contract award imminent. Working closely with the Senior Commercial Manager, you’ll play a key role in the day-to‑day commercial management of this high‑profile substation project. As one of the first projects fully delivered through the framework, this is a unique opportunity to shape and influence commercial strategies from concept through to completion, driving collaborative working with the client.

Key responsibilities

  • Full commercial management of the project, from early contractor involvement (ECI) through to delivery
  • Leading on procurement, forecasting, cost management and CVR reporting
  • Managing subcontracts and commercial change processes
  • Supporting accurate financial reporting and performance monitoring
  • Acting as a client‑facing commercial lead, building strong, collaborative relationships

Qualifications & Skills

  • Contributing to the development of best practice within the framework environment
  • Demonstrable experience in a Senior Quantity Surveyor role on infrastructure or energy projects
  • Strong background in forecasting, cost control and CVR production
  • Proven experience managing subcontractors and commercial change
  • Confident in client-facing responsibilities
  • Working knowledge of CEMAR and COINS systems
  • Experience within a framework or ECI environment (desirable)
