Opportunity
We have a fantastic opportunity within our Energy business for a self-driven and results-orientated Senior Commercial Manager to work on an exciting energy project.
Responsibilities
- Developing and agreeing a commercial strategy which achieves budget and maximises profitability.
- Managing commercial risk and opportunity.
- Ensuring commercial reporting procedures are adhered to.
- Managing, coordinating, supervising and supporting the commercial teams in areas of personal development and advice on commercial issues.
- Managing commercial aspects including monthly reporting, end life forecasting, monthly project reviews and account settlement.
- Managing procurement in line with our supply chain vision.
- Management of contractual processes.
- Proactively negotiate with customers on contractual matters.
Requirements
- Be degree educated in quantity surveying or other similar commercially related discipline (RICS accreditation preferred).
- Be able to manage the monthly reporting process including cost value reporting (CVR).
- Have experience in commercial management of sub-contractors including procurement, valuations and final accounts.
- Have knowledge and experience of dispute resolution.
- Have knowledge of health and safety legislation as it affects the construction industry.

About Our Energy Business
We have extensive experience in upgrading and replacing energy networks, delivering asset management for major UK energy companies and network operators. Our transmission and distribution services involve the upgrading and replacement of electricity assets both above and below ground. Within the electricity sector we install and maintain assets, including excavation, laying and jointing of cables, substations and overhead line, new build, repair and refurbishment services.
