About The Role: To lead the development and implementation of solutions which embed digital/BIM information management processes and practices and enable a digitally led business unit approach. You will facilitate the adoption of lean/innovative digital ways of working which will remove duplication, wasteful processes and labourious practices in project delivery. Working collaboratively with the Quality team, you’ll establish requirements and assurance for information delivery and co‑ordination across schemes and programmes of work. You’ll own the requirements and governance of the Common Data Environment (CDE) and proactively enable project delivery teams including supply chain to work in a co‑ordinated way aligned with CDE requirements and ISO 19650.
Roles And Responsibilities:
- To assist the Project Manager with the control of information on a project and run the Document Control and IMS functions.
- To lead the development and implementation of solutions which embed digital/BIM information management processes and practices.
- You will facilitate the adoption of lean/innovative digital ways of working.
- You’ll enable project delivery teams to align with Common Data Environment (CDE) requirements and ISO 19650.
- Ownership and implementation of the project or programme level Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP) and co‑ordination of alignment of scheme level Task Information Delivery Plans (TIDPs).
- Provide process and information management requirements leadership and guidance for information delivery.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of digital content within the Information Management System (IMS) to support the embedding of digital working across the business unit.
- Establish through collaboration and leadership information delivery and process requirements for Production teams, including supply chain teams.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key digital stakeholders and suppliers across the company, management systems and the supply chain.
- Pilot and deploy site data & quality collection systems on projects.
- Develop and deploy business unit reporting.
To Thrive In The Role You Will Bring:
- Professional qualification, ideally to degree standard, in an engineering or building discipline.
- Previous experience of Information Management on a variety of design and construction projects including use of ISO19650 suite of standards and the implementation of BIM Execution Plans.
- Experience of Information Management, GIS, Records Management, or document control would be an advantage.
- Familiar and competent with BIM management tools and Common Data Environments such as Bentley ProjectWise, Viewpoint for Projects, AutoDesk Docs, Asite and Business Collaborator.
- Familiar and competent with models reviewing tools such as Navisworks and Solibri.
- Familiar with a variety of modelling tools such as AutoDesk Civil 3D, Revit and Bentley Open Roads.
- Knowledge of site forms/data collection systems like BIM360, Fieldview or Dalux.
- Knowledge of digital handover process.
