Planner (Trainee)
Morgan Sindall Infrastructure have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Section Engineer or Sub Agent who is looking for a career change.
About The Role
In this role, you will combine your site-based experience with training in planning methodologies and software to develop project programmes during the pre-construction phase.
Working alongside and with the support of a Senior Planner, you will monitor progress throughout the delivery phase, ensuring programmes are updated accurately and reflect project performance, risks, and key milestones.
- Core Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain logic-linked design, procurement, and construction programmes.
- Contribute to the development of the project delivery strategy and construction methodology.
- Review engineering drawings and produce material take-offs to determine activity durations.
- Update, monitor and communicate progress through the programme and dashboards.
- Communicate programme status and progress to clients, operational teams, and subcontractors.
- Develop and maintain lookahead programmes.
- Assist with collaborative planning workshops.
- Identify programme risks and communicate these to operational and commercial teams.
