We are currently looking for a SHE Manager to join our growing team on the Clyde Commercial Framework (CCF) at Faslane.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of a major Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) programme, leading the framework Health & Safety team from Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) through to construction delivery.

Reporting to the Head of SHEQS, you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day management of the Health & Safety team, providing leadership, guidance and support across the framework while helping to drive a positive safety culture and ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and legislation.

This role offers the opportunity to establish and develop a high‑performing Health & Safety function on a major infrastructure programme, working within a collaborative and supportive project environment.

  • Role Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the day‑to‑day activities of the framework Health & Safety team.
  • Provide support to the Head of SHEQS across the framework.
  • Function as deputy to the Head of SHEQS during periods of absence.
  • Promote and maintain a positive Health & Safety culture across all project activities.
  • Provide Health & Safety advice and support to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, client requirements, and statutory legislation.
  • Monitor Health & Safety performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support incident investigations and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
  • Assist with audits, inspections, and reviews across the framework.
  • Collaborate closely with operational teams to ensure safe planning and delivery of construction activities.
  • Support the transition of the framework from ECI into full construction delivery.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • CMIOSH membership.
  • Previous experience managing and leading Health & Safety teams.
  • Health & Safety experience within a construction environment.
  • Strong knowledge of construction Health & Safety legislation, standards, and best practice.
  • Proven ability to influence and engage with teams at all levels.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced project environment.
  • Experience working on major infrastructure, defence, or framework projects.
  • Experience supporting projects through both pre‑construction and construction phases.
  • Knowledge of DIO or similar client environments.
  • Vocational Health & Safety qualification or equivalent.
  • Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH).
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Initiative‑taking and solutions‑focused approach.
  • Excellent organisational and planning abilities.
  • Commitment to driving safety excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to build effective relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
