We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Site Agent to join our team, supporting the delivery of a range of exciting schemes.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is keen to further develop their skills and take on increasing levels of responsibility.
- Role Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate implementation of engineering controls in accordance with contract drawings and specifications.
- Lead the delivery of site works in line with the project programme, undertaking the CRE role to assure built works.
- Prepare, implement, and brief risk assessments and method statements for the safe execution of works.
- Ensure all activities are delivered in compliance with health & safety legislation and environmental requirements.
- Manage site activities to ensure works are completed safely, on time and within budget.
- Ensure all staff and operatives understand and adhere to site safety procedures.
- Consult daily with the Senior Foreman regarding programme, resources, productivity, and progress.
- Coordinate shifts, trades, and site activities to ensure consistency and efficiency of operations.
- Resolve technical issues and drive improvements in performance, progress, and quality.
- Develop forecasts and monitor performance against programme and targets.
- Implement quality plan requirements and consult with the Project Quality Manager on quality matters.
- Deliver performance across health & safety, environment, and quality key indicators.
- Manage project risks in line with company procedures.
- Consult with third parties, subcontractors, and internal teams daily.
- Ensure all personnel receive appropriate training and development.
- Proactively promote continuous improvement and best practice initiatives
- Deliver completed works to customer satisfaction.
Skills, Experience And Qualifications
- Relevant industry qualification (HNC/HND/BEng or equivalent)
- Valid CSCS card and CSCS 5‑Day Safety qualification
- Proven civil engineering and construction experience, including structures and rail projects.
- CRE experience or ability to undertake the CRE role.
- Strong knowledge of specifications and testing regimes relevant to civil engineering works
- Sound understanding of construction practices, standards, health & safety, and environmental compliance.
- Hands‑on approach to the commercial and planning aspects of project delivery
- Ability to produce, interpret and clearly explain technical drawings and plans.
- Strong leadership and people‑management skills, with the ability to motivate teams.
- Excellent operational planning and time‑management skills
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams without compromising quality or compliance.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to ensure standards and specifications are consistently met.
- Specialist technical knowledge within a chosen engineering discipline
