Senior Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Manager

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Manager to lead and drive our SHE strategy across operations.
This is a critical leadership role responsible for embedding a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering continuous improvement across all SHE performance metrics.
The successful candidate will be a Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH) and will have proven experience within the energy sector, a strong understanding of the unique risks, regulatory frameworks and operational challenges associated with this industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of SHE policies, standards and procedures aligned with organisational and regulatory requirements.
- Provide expert SHE guidance and leadership across all levels of the business.
- Drive a proactive safety culture, ensuring best practice and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental and energy sector regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments, audits and incident investigations, ensuring effective corrective actions.
- Engage and influence senior stakeholders, contractors and operational teams.
- Key Qualifications & Experience
- CMIOSH (Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) – essential.
- Demonstrable SHE leadership experience within the energy sector – essential.
- Strong knowledge of UK SHE legislation and industry standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven track record of delivering measurable SHE performance improvements.

We have extensive experience in upgrading and replacing energy networks and delivering asset management for major UK energy companies and network operators.
Our transmission and distribution services involve the upgrading and replacement of electricity assets both above and below ground.
Within the electricity sector we install and maintain assets, including excavation, laying and jointing of cables (fluid filled and XLPE), substations and overhead line, new build, repair and refurbishment services.
