We are seeking an innovative Senior Estimator to support our work on the National Grid Great Grid Upgrade (GGP Framework), a programme delivering some of the most exciting and strategically important schemes in the UK energy sector. Responsibilities
- Support the pre-construction team in preparing competitive design & build tenders
- Liaise with planners, design managers and preconstruction managers to develop innovative bid solutions
- Identify market trends, risks and opportunities
- Produce accurate net estimates aligned with Morgan Sindall standards
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience pricing schemes valued £10m+
- Knowledge of Energy Transmission, with exposure to substations, overhead lines or cabling preferred although not essential
- Minimum HNC qualification
- Strong ability to take off quantities
- Proficient in Conquest estimating software
- Strong Excel skills and ability to produce high-quality analytical reports
- Experience in cost planning
- Solid understanding of construction technology and modern techniques
