Role Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage call-off bid activity and early stages such as ECI preparation.
- Ensure project teams work in a consistent way that gains acceptance by both the customer and internal governance.
- Report through operational leadership while aligning with pre-contract team to ensure successful completion and contract closure of early stage activities.
- Exhibit excellent leadership and communication skills and the ability to influence senior personnel.
- Possess extensive pre-contract experience.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Proven record in successful tendering of major framework bids with significant pre-contract experience.
- Experience in engineering or construction, preferably with operational or project management experience.
- Experience in the energy transmission industry (preferable but not essential).
- Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline, ideally with Chartership.
- Excellent leadership, communication skills and the ability to influence senior personnel.
- Fully conversant with pre-contract activity such as bid management, defining a commercial position, governance, estimating, tender stage workload planning and customer management internally and externally.

About the Energy Business Unit
We have extensive experience upgrading and replacing energy networks, delivering asset management for major UK energy companies and network operators. Our transmission and distribution services involve upgrading and replacing electricity assets both above and below ground, including excavation, laying and jointing of cables, substations and overhead line, new build, repair and refurbishment services.
