We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Sub Agent to join our team on the Wixams Station project, delivered through the Eastern Routes Partnership for Network Rail. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to further develop their skills and take on increased responsibility across a high‑profile, multidisciplinary scheme. Wixams Station is a new‑build station on the Thameslink/Midland Main Line near Bedford, progressing under the Network Rail PACE framework and moving into the ES3 Option Selection stage. Morgan Sindall Infrastructure is engaged as the civils and station contractor, with responsibility for leading the development of the design.
Role Responsibilities
- Support the scheme through early design stages, ensuring the project is fully prepared for successful mobilisation.
- Participate in design reviews to assess constructability and alignment with the proposed construction methodology.
- Assist in the procurement and onboarding of key supply chain partners, ensuring safety, programme, cost, quality, and deliverable requirements are met.
- Work closely with the Project Manager and Engineering Manager to develop and implement the mobilisation strategy, including consents, utilities management, and traffic management arrangements.
- Coordinate effectively with Network Rail and SRSA to ensure programme alignment and seamless project integration.
- Contribute to the recruitment, development, and support of the operational delivery team to ensure successful project execution.
Qualifications
- Proven experience delivering large, multidisciplinary infrastructure projects (rail station experience desirable).
- Knowledge of temporary works, working adjacent to the operational railway, and station architectural/fit‑out construction.
- Strong background in leading and managing teams, including engineers, frontline supervisors, and supply chain partners, within complex project environments.
- Demonstrated ability to ensure deliverables are achieved safely, efficiently, and in line with programme expectations.
