We are seeking a motivated and ambitious individual to join our team on the National Grid Great Grid Upgrade Framework, supporting the delivery of a diverse programme of high‑profile schemes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone eager to develop their skills, take on increasing responsibility, and play a key part in the successful delivery of major infrastructure works. You will be working on the PTNO/PTC1 (Pentir to Trawsfynydd) project, contributing to a significant programme that forms part of National Grid’s long‑term investment in strengthening and modernising the UK’s energy network.

Role Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the commercial team.
  • Ensure correct cost codes are used across all plant and material requisitions and purchase orders.
  • Generate system accruals for material deliveries and plant hire.
  • Complete timesheets for weekly‑paid resources.
  • Perform general accounts administration duties.
  • Use accounts systems effectively, supported by an understanding of purchase ledger processes.

Skills, Experience And Qualifications

  • Experience using accounts systems with a solid understanding of purchase ledger processes.
  • Experience working with COINS (or similar construction/commercial systems).
  • Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Strong planning, organisation, and time‑management abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Confident contributing across projects, sites, or operational areas.
  • Strong written communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining standards and ensuring specifications are met.
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues to support project and operational performance.
