The role:

We have a fantastic opportunity within our Energy business for a Technical Support Manager within the Overhead Lines department.

The Technical Support Manager will work as part of the technical support team, supporting the pre-construction, training, resourcing and methodology departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and insight to our tender teams
  • Work with the management team in developing a suite of Construction Work Instructions and ensuring these are communicated to the project teams
  • Maintain a digital library of Construction Work Instructions
  • Assist the training department in ensuring the correct competencies are in place for our skilled workforce
  • Identify gaps in competence and arrange necessary training to ensure full compliance with company and client procedures
  • Carry out on-site competency assessments of our workforce to keep competence up-to-date
  • Support the Management Team in developing and maintaining a competency framework for our workforce
  • Conduct on-site audits on live schemes to ensure compliance with legislation and company procedures
  • Provide coaching and support to project teams on competency and Work Instructions as required
  • Support the review and update of company procedures aligned to client expectations

Requirements:

CITB Site Management or equivalent Electrical qualification

NVQ Management Level 3 or equivalent (preferable or working towards)

CSCS Accreditation
