The Role
As a SHE Advisor, you’ll provide expert guidance and support to ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance across our projects. You’ll work closely with project teams to promote a positive safety culture, conduct inspections, and help deliver safe and sustainable outcomes in a highly regulated environment.
What You’ll Do
- Advise on SHE matters and ensure compliance with legislation and company standards
- Implement SHE management systems and procedures
- Conduct site inspections and audits, reporting findings and recommending improvements
- Support incident investigations and share lessons learned
- Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings to promote awareness
- Monitor occupational health and behavioural safety initiatives
- Maintain accurate SHE records and contribute to performance reporting
- Collaborate with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in SHE practices
What We’re Looking For
- Technical or Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH) or NEBOSH General Certificate
- Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (minimum)
- Associate member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (desirable)
- Expert knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation
- Experience in construction and civil engineering techniques within complex, highly regulated projects
- Strong understanding of CDM requirements in the role of principal contractor
- Knowledge of risk management and behavioural-based safety
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
