To provide quality support services to enable his/her department to meet its business objectives, and to support the accurate recording and collation of business information, whilst ensuring the continuous improvement of quality performance in line with relevant standards, client expectations and the Integrated Management System (IMS). The Quality Support role will report directly to the Senior Quality Manager.
Key responsibilities- Ensure compliance with relevant quality, industry and Morgan Sindall standards
- Promote awareness of customer requirements at local and/or business unit level
- Promote the Morgan Sindall Quality ABC (Assurance, Business Improvement & Control) approach and Perfect Delivery philosophy
- Deliver quality advice and guidance at local and/or business unit level to minimise risk to the company
- Support the development and delivery of the business unit improvement plan
- Collate, monitor and trend quality performance data; analysing, identifying and reporting on common themes and learning opportunities
- Assist in Assurance Reviews, Audits and Investigations where required
- Compile key quality performance indicators (KPIs) reports and dashboards for their area, ensuring they are fit for purpose and meet customer requirements – for onward reporting to the Executive
- Promote and assist in the implementation of effective root cause analysis and corrective action following the identification of nonconformities
- Ensure compliance with internal processes and systems and provide coaching where appropriate to achieve ‘right first time’
- Trained Internal or Lead Auditor to ISO 9001 (desirable)
- Some knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001 management systems
- Some experience in construction or civil engineering standards and techniques (desirable)
- Some knowledge of risk management (desirable)
- Good IT skills. Specifically, must have a competent capability in the use of excel spreadsheets.
- Experience in compiling dashboards/KPI reports and provide accurate commentary in relation to identified themes/gaps in performance (desirable)
- Flexible with location – willing to work both on and off site, as the project evolves. (Travel to both Cumbria and Risley, Warrington required).
