We have a fantastic opportunity within our Energy business unit for an ambitious and talented Planning manager to work on the Great Grid Upgrade

The Planning manager will provide programmes, analysis of programmes and communication within the team as during tender stage and as required by the construction manager during the construction phase.

Previous experience in a main contracting environment, ideally within overhead lines and / or underground cables is preferable.

The person:

HNC (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)

Competent in project management software; must be competent with Primavera P6

Extensive experience in programme and project management, project planning, including programme controls, project review, and cost and risk analysis

Understanding of the impact that commercial events and activities have on the baseline programme

Experience of working on multi-discipline civil infrastructure projects

Ability to build robust detailed tender programmes from bottom up

Experience of driving a pre contract planning team

Experience of undertaking senior governance reviews

About our Energy business

We have extensive experience in upgrading and replacing energy networks, delivering asset management for major UK energy companies and network operators.

Our transmission and distribution services involve the upgrading and replacement of electricity assets both above and below ground. Within the electricity sector we install and maintain assets, including excavation, laying and jointing of cables, (fluid filled and XLPe), substations and overhead line, new build, repair and refurbishment services.
