We are looking for a motivated and ambitious individual to join our team on the Mill Hill / Bishopsgate Network Rail project, supporting the delivery of a range of exciting schemes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is keen to further develop their skills and take on increasing levels of responsibility.
Role Responsibilities
- Deliver works safely, on time, within budget and to specification.
- Manage the delivery of packages of work in a Sub-Agent capacity.
- Implement engineering controls in line with drawings and specifications.
- Prepare and brief risk assessments and method statements.
- Manage site operations, labour, subcontractors, and resources.
- Coordinate construction activities across trades and shifts.
- Programme works and monitor progress, reporting to the Site Agent.
- Lead resolution of technical issues and drive quality and performance.
- Monitor safety, quality, and environmental compliance, promoting a strong safety culture.
- Manage materials, logistics and supply chain performance.
- Develop, train, and manage engineering teams.
- Complete site records and support continuous improvement.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- HNC/HND/BEng (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- CSCS card (SMSTS, PTS and CRE preferred).
- Proven civil engineering experience, ideally within rail infrastructure projects.
- Experience managing subcontractors and delivering packages of work.
- Experience leading small teams of engineers and site personnel.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, specifications, and testing.
- Sound understanding of H&S, quality, and environmental standards.
- Ability to programme works and manage resources effectively.
- Competent in producing and interpreting technical drawings.
- Good IT skills (MS Office and site systems).
- Strong leadership, planning, and organisational skills.
