We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Engineering Manager to join our team on the CP7 Eastern Renewals Framework, supporting the delivery of a range of exciting schemes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is keen to further develop their skills and take on increasing levels of responsibility.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead on design assurance and oversee transition into construction assurance.
- Manage and coordinate internal and external engineering teams.
- Ensure deliverables are completed on time, to budget, and in compliance with project standards.
- Provide engineering leadership, mentoring, and support to CREs and the wider team.
- Manage assurance processes, including surveillance and audit regimes.
- Foster collaboration with joint ventures, and alliance partners.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Chartered Engineer status (e.g. ICE or equivalent professional body).
- Senior-level experience in civil engineering design management and construction across highways, rail, energy, or water sectors.
- Experience managing large tender teams, including price and quality adjudications.
- Strong commercial awareness, including contracts, procurement models, and risk management.
- Proven track record of managing assurance regimes and design processes in tender or contract environments.
- Previous DPE experience required.
- Experience working in joint ventures, alliances, or other collaborative delivery models.
