What we need from you: Reporting to our Commercial Director of our Scotland Region, you will lead and manage all commercial aspects of special works contracts through project lifecycle, supporting the bid team and working with the Special Works Manager. We’re looking for a committed Commercial professional who will bring energy, new ideas and a fresh perspective to a well-established, experienced Commercial Team within an industry leading construction business. The role is a fantastic career opportunity for any individual with a passion for the built environment and capable of bringing fresh thinking to the business to align with our philosophy of Talented People are key to our success.

You will need to be able to provide or obtain the right to work in the UK. You will need to be able to drive and provide or obtain a full UK Driving Licence to initially support our projects in the Edinburgh, Stirling and North Lanarkshire area and will also lead to wider business support.

Are you an experienced Senior Commercial Manager or Commercial Manager and ready for that step up in your commercial career? You will have a qualification or the skills and experience at SCQF Level 10 (e.g., Degree level). Experience in developing a commercial strategy which achieves budget and maximises profitability. Be able to demonstrate experience in leading a team on commercial projects; refurbishment-type projects would be an advantage. Convey client-facing experience as being the lead contact on Commercial, legal, financial, and administrative challenges. Be able to ensure multiple projects and programme contracts, costs, quality and time targets are met. Partner with technical experts to provide regular commercial insight on the performance of supply chain organisations contracted to projects, enabling the project to make informed decisions about contract variation. Preferably, you will be RICS accredited. Have a real passion for the industry and want to deliver exceptionally, the places where we live, learn, work, play, care and protect.
