About the role
You will be working within our Yorkshire business, where you will:
Be responsible for day-to-day surveying and setting out of engineering and building works on various sites within the region.
Ensure quality control requirements are met and recorded in accordance with specification and operate and promote a high standard of Health & Safety and environment compliance.
Plan and schedule the work and efficiently organise the site in order to meet an agreed programme of deadlines
Attend regular meetings with the section engineer/sub agent/agent to update on progress of works
Supervise and monitor the site labour force through general foreman and or supervisors, monitoring the work of any subcontractors to complete the work as per customer\’s satisfaction
Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise at any time
Good planning and time management skills and confident when it comes to supervising a team, motivating self and a small team to perform specific tasks.
Experience of AutoCAD and be comfortable handling situations and problems.
We\’re looking for someone who is educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant industry subject and who has proven experience as a Senior Engineer.
A full UK driving licence is essential.
What are we looking for?
Significant experience in the main contracting market with experience of working on Educational, Commercial, Healthcare and Public buildings between £5 and £40 million.
As an experienced Senior Project Engineer, you will have a good understanding of construction design techniques and a HNC or HND (or equivalent) in Design Management or other equivalent commercially related subject, and/or CIOB Membership.
