Responsibilities
- Assist the project team in managing design aspects/inputs to the overall project at bid and delivery stages
- Support the Design/Senior Design Manager to lead and provide a professional, comprehensive and sustainable design service for the customer and key partners / suppliers at bid and delivery stages
- With support of wider project team, manage and co-ordinate agreed elements of the projectesign process through the RIBA design stages, using Morgan Sindall Design Quality
- Ensure understanding and compliance with design management departmental procedures at bid and delivery stages
- Be involved with design strategy and approach with the ability to work independently and with direction from wider project team members
- Assist the Design/Senior Design Manager to set up and agree the design management regime
- Assist with design reviews and co-ordination meetings through Viewpoint 4P document management system
- Assist with the implementation of the design strategy to deliver coordinated design solutions
- Monitor design team progress against programme and report to the project team
- Encourage a culture of responsibility, innovation and continuous improvement at bid and delivery stages
What we’re looking for
An individual who is currently working as an Assistant Design Manager. You may be educated to degree or HNC/HND level in a relevant technical, design management or architectural discipline or equivalent, although not essential at this stage. You will have a growing knowledge of the construction industry.
