A leading multinational company is seeking an experienced VAT Accountant to manage VAT compliance across its UK and EU legal entities. The role involves liaising with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring accurate reporting, and maintaining compliance with HMRC and EU regulations.

Key Responsibilities as VAT Accountant will be to: –

* Act as the primary contact for VAT-related queries across UK and EU legal entities.
* Advise on VAT laws and regulations, collaborating with finance, purchasing, and sales teams.
* Manage relationships with fiscal authorities and the VAT team, ensuring compliance and timely submissions.
* Oversee import duty/VAT accounting and recover reclaimable VAT.
* Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and support the annual statutory audit.

The successful candidate will be: –

* Qualified or part-qualified accountant ideally.
* Experienced in VAT accounting.
* Willing to learn as training if needed will be provided.
* Strong communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
