Do you enjoy balancing inventory, production demands, and operational performance in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment? We are seeking an experienced Production & Inventory Controller to play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials, inventory, and production scheduling within a growing manufacturing business. This is a hands‑on position where you'll be at the centre of operations, working closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, and Production teams to ensure products are delivered on time, inventory levels are optimised, and operational targets are consistently achieved.
The Production & Inventory Controller will be responsible for:
- Creating and managing daily and weekly production schedules to meet customer and stock demands.
- Coordinating production planning activities to ensure raw materials and work‑in‑progress stock are available when needed.
- Leading daily planning meetings with operational and supply chain teams to drive performance and resolve challenges quickly.
- Analysing sales trends, forecasts, and inventory data to determine stock requirements and support business growth.
- Monitoring and improving inventory performance, reducing backorders and stock shortages.
- Managing finished goods inventory and overseeing stock control processes, including cycle counting and investigations.
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience in Inventory Control gained in a manufacturing environment.
- Be a strong analytical and problem‑solving skill set with excellent attention to detail.
- Be a confident communicator who can build effective relationships across departments.
- Have intermediate Excel skills as a minimum, with the ability to analyse and interpret data.
- Have the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and perform effectively under pressure.
- Have manufacturing experience and a strong knowledge of production processes.
