The Role:
- This is a hands-on, highly visible role within the Quality Department of a successful food manufacturing and blending facility.
- You’ll play a key role supporting blending operations while also providing technical support across packing and warehouse activities.
- The position offers genuine variety, responsibility and involvement in the day-to-day quality performance of the site.
- You’ll be out in the operation, working closely with production teams, maintaining standards, solving problems, improving processes and helping ensure the business continues to deliver high-quality products and service levels.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supporting quality standards across blending, packing and warehouse operations.
- Implementing and maintaining GMP, HACCP and BRCGS standards.
- Ensuring compliance with QMS procedures and site standards.
- Conducting routine quality checks and production surveillance.
- Product and ingredient sampling and on-site analysis.
- Environmental, microbiological and water sampling.
- Leading internal GMP, hygiene and fabrication audits.
- Supporting customer and 3rd party audits.
- Investigating non-conformances and customer complaints.
- Supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Contributing to food safety risk assessments and HACCP activities.
- Developing SOPs and supporting continuous improvement projects.
- Delivering quality and compliance training across the business.
- Supervising a small team of Quality Technicians and covering shifts in holiday periods.
- Deputising for the Group Quality Manager when required.
Previous experience within a quality role in a food manufacturing environment is essential, along with experience supporting BRCGS and other 3rd party audits. A formal qualification in Food Technology, Quality or Hygiene (HND level or equivalent) is also required.
