We are looking for an experienced and motivated Team Manager to join a fast-paced manufacturing business in Bolton. In this role, you will lead, develop and support a team to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. You’ll play a key role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement while driving performance across productivity, quality, and cost control.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all HSE legislation and site standards
- Proactively identify and reduce risks, hazards, and incidents
- Ensure all products meet food safety, integrity, and quality standards
- Maintain compliance through accurate documentation, traceability, and audit readiness
- Manage controllable costs including raw materials, packaging, and waste
- Ensure accurate data recording to support performance monitoring and improvement
- Lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team, including agency staff
- Deliver training plans, conduct 1-to-1s, and drive engagement and retention
- Promote a flexible and collaborative team culture
- Identify and deliver improvement initiatives across performance, efficiency, and waste reduction
- Encourage team involvement in continuous improvement activities
- Ensure the site is audit-ready at all times
- Drive operational performance across efficiency, waste, and output
- Use data effectively to inform decisions and communicate results to the team
Skills & Experience
- Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong coaching, mentoring, and team development skills
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Strong communication skills
- IT literate (e.g. MS Office; experience with SAP is advantageous)
