We're looking for someone with a strong CNC machining background who understands how complex precision components are manufactured. If you've spent years machining parts, reading engineering drawings and understanding cycle times, tooling and manufacturing methods, we can help you develop into a successful Estimating Engineer.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Produce quotations for complex precision-machined components.
  • Review engineering drawings and determine the most efficient manufacturing route.
  • Estimate machining cycle times, tooling and production costs.
  • Work closely with customers, suppliers and internal engineering teams.
  • Support new product introduction from RFQ through to production.
  • Help secure profitable new business for a world-class precision engineering manufacturer.

What We're Looking For

The most important thing is your CNC machining knowledge. You'll ideally have experience as a:

  • CNC Miller
  • CNC Turner
  • CNC Programmer
  • CNC Setter/Operator
  • Manufacturing Engineer
  • Production Engineer
  • Estimating Engineer

You should also have:

  • A strong understanding of CNC machining processes.
  • The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of tooling, fixtures, machining strategies and cycle times.
  • Experience machining a range of materials.
  • Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn.

Estimating experience is welcome but not essential if you have the right machining background and are keen to develop into the role.
