We're partnering with a highly respected engineering manufacturer that's investing heavily in operational excellence, quality performance, and future growth. They're looking for a driven Quality Engineer who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and being at the centre of continuous improvement activity across the business.
You'll work closely with manufacturing, engineering, suppliers, and customers to make sure products and processes consistently meet the highest standards - while helping shape a strong 'Right First Time' culture. If you thrive in a hands-on engineering environment where your ideas are listened to and your impact is visible, this could be the move you've been waiting for.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Leading root cause investigations and driving corrective actions
- Supporting supplier quality improvement and customer issue resolution
- Ensuring products meet engineering drawings and specification requirements
- Working across manufacturing and assembly operations to improve quality performance
- Supporting ISO9001 compliance and wider IMS activities
- Conducting audits, analysing KPI trends, and identifying improvement opportunities
- Collaborating with engineering, production, supply chain, and HSE teams
- Promoting continuous improvement and operational excellence throughout the business

What We're Looking For:
Essential:
- Previous experience as a Quality Engineer within a manufacturing environment (Any engineered product sector considered - not food or chemical manufacturing)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Implementing Corrective Actions (ICA)
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach
Highly Desirable:
- Mechanical engineering or apprenticeship background
- HND / HNC Qualified
- Internal or supplier audit experience
- Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement involvement
- Six Sigma Green Belt or similar quality qualifications
