Influence Quality.

We're seeking an experienced HSEQ Manager to lead the site's Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality function, with a strong emphasis on Health & Safety.

As the visible HSE leader, you'll drive a proactive safety culture, coach managers, promote safe behaviours and ensure compliance is embedded across operations.

You'll also provide strategic leadership to the Quality function, supporting quality systems, product and process quality through your team while maintaining high standards across the business.

With Health & Safety as your primary focus, you'll lead incident investigations, audits and risk assessments, coach managers, engage employees and ensure full legislative compliance while continuously improving the safety culture.

Responsibilities Provide visible leadership of the site's Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) function, promoting a proactive safety culture, operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Ensure compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation, environmental requirements, ISO standards, customer requirements and the Quality Management System.

Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), while monitoring HSEQ performance, analysing trends and driving improvement initiatives. Conduct site inspections, audits, behavioural safety programmes, and support customer, certification, regulatory and external audits as the site's lead HSEQ representative. Review and enhance risk assessments, safe systems of work, permit-to-work processes and quality procedures to ensure robust, compliant manufacturing operations.

Partner with managers to develop safe working practices, embed quality standards, strengthen accountability and support effective operational performance.

Lead, coach and develop the HSEQ team while building strong cross-functional relationships with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain and Technical teams.

About

You We're looking for someone whose background is firmly rooted in Health & Safety leadership within manufacturing.

Significant experience in a senior Health & Safety or HSEQ leadership role, ideally with food safety background.

A strong track record of improving safety culture in a manufacturing environment. Excellent knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and environmental compliance.

NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and Lead Auditor qualifications would be highly advantageous.

BRCGS / Food / Beverage manufacturing experience would be highly advantageous.
